MELBOURNE: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) has announced that a Community Town Hall will be held at the Hye Getron (8/14 Police Road, Springvale VIC 3171), on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, ahead of the Victorian State Election.
Commencing at 7:00pm, the Town Hall will provide members of the Armenian-Australian community with an opportunity to hear about the commitments and positions of the major political parties on issues of importance to the community, as well as discuss priorities and expectations ahead of the election.
The event follows the ANC-AU’s ongoing engagement with political representatives across Victoria, including meetings with candidates and sitting members from the major parties, to advocate for issues of importance to the Armenian-Australian community.
The Town Hall will provide an opportunity to update the community on the outcomes of these engagements, including commitments made by political parties and candidates, and to outline the key issues that the ANC-AU is advocating for ahead of the election.
Members of the community will also have the opportunity to ask questions, participate in discussion, and hear directly from representatives of each major party about the issues that will shape the political landscape in Victoria over the coming term.
Speaking on the importance of the event, ANC-AU Political Affairs Director, Sebastian Majarian, said: “The Victorian State Election presents an important opportunity for our community to engage directly with political representatives and ensure that the issues that matter to Armenian-Australians are understood and addressed.
He continued: “We encourage members of the Armenian-Australian community to attend, ask questions and take an informed interest in the commitments being made ahead of the election. A strong and engaged community is essential to ensuring our concerns are heard and our priorities remain part of the political conversation.”
