SYDNEY: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) has announced that Karina Grigorian has formally begun her duties as the organisation’s most recent Administrative Assistant at the headquarters of the peak public affairs body of the Armenian-Australian community.
Grigorian, who participated in the 2023 ANC-AU Youth Advocates program, has been volunteering at the National Office based in Sydney since the start of 2024.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Social & Political Science at the University of Technology Sydney, Grigorian becomes the latest addition to the ANC-AU National Office team and will work alongside Sebastian Majarian, Lara Ferhad, Ani Poliopoulos and Executive Director, Michael Kolokossian.
Grigorian attended Hamazkaine Arshak & Sophie Galstaun College for three years before completing her secondary education at Stella Maris College on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. After graduating high school, Grigorian was repeatedly selected to represent the Para-National Football Team, formally known as the Paramatildas.
Kolokossian said, “We are excited to welcome Karina to the team. At a time when Armenia and Artsakh face extreme hardship, it is uplifting to see young Armenian-Australians willing to fight for the rights of their compatriots on behalf of the Armenian-Australian community.”
Grigorian, who commenced her employment at the ANC-AU National Office on the 24th of June 2025, said, “My Armenian roots and our resilient history has always inspired me to make a change in the world. I am thrilled to finally begin my fulfilling work at the ANC-AU.”
