SYDNEY: In March 2026, the Armenian Professional Network of Australia (APN-AU) held their annual ‘Start of Year Networking Event’ at Como Italian in Sydney’s CBD, bringing together over 80 Armenian-Australian professionals.
The event, which was sponsored by Mr Garry Simonian, Managing Director of Platinum Restaurant Group, was hosted on Wednesday, 11 March, 2026, bringing together professionals from a range of industries to build connections and spur career development amongst fellow Armenian-Australians.
As well as a wide selection of canapés and beverages, attendees were treated to a number of networking games such as the ‘Guess the LinkedIn Profile’ and ‘Split up by Profession’, coordinated by APN-AU Committee Member, Olivia Dilanchian.
Guests were also treated to an address by APN-AU Chairperson, Dr. Viken Kortian, giving updates on the APN-AU’s plans moving forward, highlighting forum specific events to be held throughout the year. These included events from the Legal, Accounting/Finance, STEM and Allied and Medical Health forums.
Dr. Kortian thanked APN members for their consistent support and involvement, saying that: "It's great to see this network go from stride to stride and seeing so many members of our community coming together. I’d like to thank all those who have attended one of our networking events this year and encourage you all to keep an eye out for the amazing schedule of events we have coming up throughout the year.”
