
MELBOURNE: The Melbourne Armenian Genocide Commemorative Committee has announced details for Melbourne’s Commemoration for the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
This annual event, which will be held at The Drum Theatre (226 Lonsdale St, Dandenong VIC 3175) on Thursday, 23 April 2026, commencing from 7:00pm, will be attended by approximately 300 members of Melbourne’s Armenian community, along with fellow community, religious, political, media, diplomatic and academic leaders from across the country.
The event is organised by the Armenian Genocide Commemorative Committee - Melbourne, under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Haigazoun Najarian, the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Armenian Catholic Church, and the Armenian Evangelical Church.
The member organisations of the Armenian Genocide Commemorative Committee - Melbourne include, St Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church, Armenian Revolutionary Federation Azadamard Committee, AGBU Melbourne, Sahagian Sporting Club, Armenian Relief Society Nairi, Homenetmen Arax, Hamazkaine Gomidas and Mesrop Mashdots Saturday School, Aginian Saturday School, Armenian National Committee of Australia - Melbourne, and Armenian Youth Federation Seniors, ‘Arapo’ and Juniors, ‘Karekin Njteh’.
